Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, growth, compliance, and financial performance of a licensed home care agency branch in San Diego. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality non-medical home care services while maintaining compliance with California Home Care Services Bureau regulations and company standards. The Branch Manager leads caregiver recruitment and retention efforts, develops referral relationships, manages client satisfaction, and drives branch profitability.
Operations Management
· Oversee daily branch operations to ensure efficient and compliant service delivery
· Coordinate client intake, scheduling, staffing, and care plan implementation
· Monitor service quality and client satisfaction through regular follow-up
· Ensure all client and employee records are accurate and maintained according to state regulations
· Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices
Staff Leadership & Development
· Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate office staff and caregivers
· Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment
· Conduct performance evaluations and corrective action when necessary
· Support caregiver retention through engagement, coaching, and recognition programs
· Ensure all caregivers meet licensing, training, and background clearance requirements
Business Development
· Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, case managers, assisted living communities, and other referral sources
· Participate in networking events and community outreach initiatives
· Develop and execute branch growth strategies to increase census and revenue
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity within the San Diego area
Financial Management
· Manage branch budget, payroll oversight, and operational expenses
· Review financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability
· Monitor scheduling efficiency and labor utilization
· Ensure timely billing and collections in coordination with administrative staff
Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Maintain compliance with California Department of Social Services Home Care Services Bureau requirements and all applicable labor laws
· Prepare for audits, surveys, and inspections
· Ensure HIPAA confidentiality standards are followed
Investigate and resolve complaints, incidents, and service concerns promptly
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field preferred
· Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in home care, healthcare, or senior services
· Strong knowledge of California home care regulations preferred
· Proven leadership, sales, and operational management experience
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and home care software systems
· Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
· Experience with caregiver scheduling and workforce management
· Knowledge of Medicare, private pay, long-term care insurance, and veterans programs
· Established healthcare referral network in San Diego County
· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Work Environment
This position operates in both an office and community setting and may require travel throughout San Diego County for client visits, networking, and staff support. Evening or weekend availability may occasionally be required.
