Requirements:

This position requires a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable personal automobile for local travel to provide care to clients in the Denton County, Texas area. Mileage is reimbursed for start of care and regular visits.

Qualicare is looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team! As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, promoting physical function, and enhancing overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities:
● Provide direct patient care to a diverse range of patients
● Complete start of care and conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify physical impairments and develop personalized treatment plans.
● Utilize a range of evidence-based techniques, including trigger point therapy, to address patient needs.
● Implement and monitor patient treatment plans, adjusting as necessary.
● Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
● Stay current with the latest developments in physical therapy, including orthopedics, hospital medicine, and anatomy knowledge.
● Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
● Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
● Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
● Provide emotional support and educate patients and their families on disease processes and treatment options
● Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care
● Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
● Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas
● Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
● Minimum one year experience in a home healthcare setting
● One-year experience in geriatric care, preferred
● Experience working in a hospital or clinic setting.
● Ability to provide patient care in a variety of settings, including home community care.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Proficiency in trigger point therapy and other physical therapy modalities.
